So last Friday I went to London and I had a fantastic time speaking about my story of being homeless, I got the chance to read my story twice and listen to two other ladies with lived experience, there experience of being homeless.

I believe everyone has a story to tell and there story is important to them. I hope I inspired someone listening to mine just as I hope someone felt inspired by the other two ladies who were telling there stories. Everybody’s stories mean something to them and I think it’s important that people understand and respect that.

This Friday I spent the evening with some of these most successful women in the Muslim community. It was captaivating to here these women speak on there successes and working hard to get to where they are.

I think sometimes, we underestimate the struggles and barriers some women go though to get to where they are career and educational wise.

I think everyone man and women work hard to achieve there dreams, everyone. I think we need to build our children up to empower each other and to love one another.

Going to both events made me feel proud to be a women and empowered to do better and be better, both events showed the power of unity and colour community mean very little. When women get together powerful things happen!

To strong women, may we know them may we raise them may we be them.
